What Do We Do?       

The Long Island Civic Participation Project brings together union and community members to develop and support campaigns that promote dignity and human rights of workers and immigrants in our society. By addressing common issues that affect community members, we build bridges of solidarity between different nationalities, races and ethnic groups.    

OUR FOCUS:     

    
• Organizing a strong committee of union and community members in the Hempstead  area.
• Taking Action on issues that affect the local community.
• Building Leadership among our membership.
• Educating our members and the general public about civic and political processes in our community.
